Flatwork
Pads, sidewalks, slabs, and other flat pours for homes and commercial sites around Buda and Austin. We plan the layout, access, finish, and cure before the truck arrives.
Why the site review matters: bad drainage or a finish that does not match how the slab is used shows up later as cracks, ponding, or a walk that never quite fits. Phone-only scope misses access and how the pour connects to what is already there.
Who it’s for
- Homeowners and commercial clients who need pads, sidewalks, slabs, or other flat pours.
- Projects where the plan needs review before the schedule is set.
- Sites ready for forms and truck access.

How it works
- Site walk: Review the layout, use, drainage, and access. Layout and drainage mistakes are hard to fix after the slab is in.
- Forms and reinforcement: Set clean edges and place reinforcement as planned. Soft edges and skipped steel are where everyday pads fail early.
- Pour, finish, cure: Place the concrete, finish it for the use, and protect the cure. Central Texas heat shortens the finish window. We protect the cure rather than rush it.
our crew reviews the site and the plan before a pour is scheduled. You get a straight answer on scope, prep, and when the pour should wait.
FAQs
What counts as flatwork?
Sidewalks, pads, entry and patio slabs, and similar horizontal pours. Finish, thickness, and joints depend on how the slab will be used.
Will you match my existing walk?
We plan the connection and discuss finish so it fits as closely as practical. Exact color match to aged concrete is not always possible. That gets stated on site.
Do joints really matter on small slabs?
Yes. Joints are planned for Central Texas temperature swings and for the size and shape of the pour, even on everyday flatwork.
